Cancer
Awareness Research Exchange
United Methodist Church, Ridgewood, NJ
March 12th, 2009, 7 PM
to 10 PM
Dr. Schachter will speak
about how cancer patients and their loved ones can make informed decisions about
both conventional and less conventional approaches to cancer. Often cancer
patients are given widely differing opinions from conventional physicians and
health practitioners who advocate the importance of diet, lifestyle and less
invasive and less toxic treatment procedures. What's best? What's just hype? A
variety of complementary/alternative medical treatments will be discussed.
CARE (Cancer Awareness
Research Exchange) is a non-profit support and information organization
formed to help people make intelligent decisions about their treatment, to
facilitate awareness of the latest progress in all fields, and share
experiences and concerns with those in similar circumstances.
CARE meetings are open
to all medical professionals, patients, students, care-givers, and to
those who wish to increase their knowledge in order to help others.
