Complementary Medicine Conference

Tom Petrie, B.S., C.D.N., one of the Lifestyle Counselors at our Center, will be speaking at this important conference which aims to educate breast cancer patients about effective treatment options, to advocate for and support informed patient choice and to promote public awareness regarding cancer risk reduction. 

Tom will specifically discuss what one can do to achieve a healthy diet and lifestyle, to reduce one's risk of cancer and to improve one's health during cancer treatment. He will cover the importance of one's state of mind in the healing process, optimal oxygenation, the role of sunshine exposure in cancer prevention, carbohydrates - which to avoid and which to eat, green vegetables and vegetable juices, other beneficial and wholesome foods, and the importance of iodine for the immune system and for good health.
